In addition to Fraquartz, the Franke Compact one-and-a-half bowl format is available in Fraganite - a composite material based on granite which is so tough that special diamond tools are needed to shape it!
This material can resist heat up to an astonishing 280°C (563°F), and produces a surface that shrugs off burns, dents, chips and scratches and resists staining. It is nevertheless very stylish to look at and gentle on crockery.
